Who are they?

Well I wanna watch that movie again at least twice just to absorb it all, and then I wanna get a good book on the subject. There seems to be implicit connections to all sorts of other stuff, although Buddhism was the only one I noticed. Actually I guess everything being connected was the main point of the movie. Watch it.... now.....

It's raining steady here and it's warm, so hopefully this snow is gonna get gone soon.

How well do we really anyone? Clearly personality and the concept of the 'self' are very complex concepts, so truly and completely knowing someone seems pretty unlikely. We're not computer programs that can be predictable and stable, we're dynamic beings and everchanging ones at that. So clearly it's not expected that we should be able to fully grasp someone's psyche, but in this this society of convenience and superficiality, there's not many values that put quality over quantity. Certain activities like camping with one person or being stranded with someone can give you a lot of insight, but it doesn't necessarily take anything special at all. Conversation is a wonderful thing. I've found that discussing beliefs with someone is a fantastic way of gaining perspective on your friends. Dreams for the future, deepest & darkest fears, spiritual and/or afterlife beliefs, these are all excellent starting points for a great talk. You can get to know someone more in a month than you can after knowing them for 5 years, if you're trying. We often don't allow others to see us when we're hurt or down on ourselves, but in a non-judgmental way, we can learn a lot about someone by seeing all sides of them, especially how they deal with stress. How well do you know your bf/gf? Could you actually describe them to someone who'd never seen them before? No, not their appearance or something as trivial as that. Their demeanor, their ticks, the outlook on life, their interests, and of course, their dreams, beliefs, and fears. It's too easy to glide by without observing the details in your life. Take hold of the moment and start to question things you take for granted. What do you want out of the future, who are these people you call friends, what direction is this world headed? Into the rabbit hole we dive....
