It's 3am, do you know where YOUR thoughts are?

Five ways to relax:

Vent - Got friends that care? Ask them to put up with your ranting for as long as it takes

Go for a walk - Works everytime for me. Just don't end up back where you started, symbolically speaking of course

Hydrate yourself - Dehydration is known to cause headaches, but I also notice that it makes me on edge, fidgety, and anxious. So if you're uptight, put on some tea

Take a bath - For some reason, the closer you come to a first-degree burn, the more relaxing it is.

Meditate - For those who've never tried, trying to sit still might make the problem worse, so learn how to quiet the mind when you're in a better mood first, but this is still the most thorough and deeply satisfying way of solving... well almost anything

I'm gonna recommend music everyday (music piracy rules, says my 3300 song collection), but here's some Michael Franti & Spearhead that I want you to make an effort to download. such diversity in their style.
Pray for Grace
We Don't Stop
Rock the Nation
Skin on the Drum (Michael Franti without Spearhead)

I was going over some old documents on a CD i made years ago and came across a shitload of quotes. Here's a few....

Only after the last tree has been cut down.
Only after the last river has been poisoned.
Only after the last fish has been caught.
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.

When one door closes, another door opens;
but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door,
that we don't see the ones which open for us.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and
rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because
it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe
in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed
down for many generations. But after observation and analysis,
when you find that anything agrees with reason and is
conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then
accept it and live up to it.
-Buddha

Oh and I'm reading a book right now on Zen. Brilliant theory, but also very practical stuff like meditation.

Quotes are great.

Life is plesant, death is peaceful. It's the transition thats troublesome.

All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That is his.

Wit is educated insolence

Just because somebody doesnt love you the way you want them to, doesnt mean they dont love you with all they have

A true friend is somebody who reaches out for you with their hand and touches you heart

Dont cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile

There is a time in all our lives that we cannot worry about. This time cannot and should not cause fear, doubt, or apprehension. This time is called yesterday.

It is with this kowledge that we must understand that we can learn from the past but must live in the now

The past defined us to the moment, but this minute defines us to the future
